We are in desperate need of a reliable person to pick up bread and pastry items from the Publix at Rock Island and Atlantic in Margate every Friday morning before 8:15am. The donated items would then need to be delivered to the Soup Kitchen.

how much bread needs to be picked up??
Will a van be needed or will a 4 door sedan do?
It’s usually one to two grocery carts of breads and pastries a car is fine.
What time does Publix like pick up?
We recommend anytime between 7:30am and 8:15am.
My name is Michele and I have three boys 2 at 10 years of age and 1 at 9 years of age and we would like to volunteer our time.
Thank you for your generosity. Unfortunately we don’t have many in-house volunteer opportunities for teens and younger since we have such a small facility but we have had young families in the past do something at home and deliver it to the needy at our location. Suggestions include goodie bags for children with little toys or candies or even school supplies. We are always in need of men’s toiletries and clothing as well. Men’s shorts and jeans in waist sizes 32 to 36 are especially needed as are men’s shoes, preferably sneakers, in all sizes.
