Critical needs now are:

  • cash donations in order to pay for day-to-day operations and building expenses.
  • fund-raising events
  • flexible schedule so that we can call you in at the last minute on an as-needed basis

Our volunteer guest speakers are always cheerfully available upon request to share more details about this ministry to local civic, religious or educational groups. If interested Contact Us.

  3. Good Afternoon,

I am with FHP Manufacturing_a Bosch Group reaching out to you to request some information on how we our organization can contribute to Our Father’s Soup Kitchen. Can you assist me with information on how our organization can volunteer? We would like to assist in anyway we can.

    Thank you for your Help

    • Because our our limited square footage and hours, it’s usually difficult to accommodate a group project. Fund raising and food donations are always a big hit. We’ve also had groups in the past, that have collected and donated targeted items such as T-shirts, men’s jeans (smaller sizes), socks, men’s shoes, toiletries, etc. These items are always needed and welcomed.

  4. Nicole, what is your availability? Right now our volunteer needs are for a once-a-week (or more if available) at the Publix in Margate on Rock Island and Atlantic. Otherwise, we need someone who can fill in as needed.

  5. While we do not have a specific age limit, our younger volunteers should be accompanied by a responsible adult – preferably a parent. This way, the experience would be a family shared event.

  6. Hello My name is Daniel Gutierrez. I am 14 years old and live nearby in Coconut Creek. I would like to earn service hours and serving the underpriviliged was always a interest to me. Can you please reply if there is availibility and when i may be able to come? Thank you and God Bless this wonderful establishment.

    • Thank you Daniel for your desire to help the homeless and needy in your community. Would you be able to come with a responsible adult? We are closed on the weekends. Please call the soup kitchen directly Monday through Friday between 9am and 11:30am to speak with the director.

  7. Hello!

I was wondering on volunteering with your Soup Kitchen. I’ve never volunteered at one before but I have seen them in movies and always thought the idea was wonderful and beautiful.

    I hope to help soon.
    xx

    • Thank you for your interest Tatiana. While we always welcome volunteers, it is sometimes difficult to work everyone in. Right now, we need help with food pickups but you should call the kitchen at 954-968-7550 during business hours which are Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

  8. Hello,

I was wondering if this soup kitchen needs any volunteers or any extra hands! It would be a delight to have the opportunity to give back to the community!

    Thank you,
    Astrid

    • While we have very limited day-to-day volunteer opportunities, we occasionally have special projects where we might need those “extra hands”. Please call the 954-968-7550 during normal business hours.

  9. I am a snowbird and here until the end of March. Reading comments above, I’d like to say that my schedule is fairly flexible for volunteering in the kitchen or serving, but also may be able to help with pickups when needed. Would love to hear from you. Thank you.

  10. Hello my name is Emily. I am interested in volunteering to serve food or in the kitchen once a week but I may also be able to help a few extra days if/when needed. I can’t wait to hear from you.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Emily and thank you for contacting us. We usually have enough lunch service volunteers but please call the kitchen at 954-968-7550 during the week and there might be an opportunity coming up where you would be a good fit. Good luck and God Bless!

We would love to have your comments...
