We Will Miss You Ron

Ron PaulsenRon Paulsen has been one of our most compassionate, unselfish and inspirational long-time volunteers so it is with great sadness that we pass on the information of his recent death surrounded by his friends and family in New York.

Ron spent much of his time behind the scenes but would never hesitate doing any job needed to help those less fortunate.

Ron will leave behind many devoted friends at the Kitchen.

A Lunchtime Treat from Little Caesars

CAM00240-1 Thanks to Daniel Fernandez, Area Supervisor for Little Caesars Pizza, our guests were served delicious fresh and hot pies straight from their traveling oven.

They did everything for us giving our staff a much-needed time to get caught up on other duties.

The big semi-trailer truck was driven by a wonderful crew as well.

Thanks again to all the good folks at Little Caesars for using your time, talent and resources for this amazing break from our daily routines.CAM00238 GroupPhoto

It has been a very busy holiday season with many good things happening which means it is time to give our staff a much-deserved break.  We will be closed on Christmas Day as well as the day after Christmas.  We will also be closed on New Years Day.

Christmas Day, Dec. 25th – Closed
Day after Christmas, Dec. 26th – Closed

Normal schedule resumes on Monday December 29th.

New Years Day, Thursday Jan. 1st – Closed
Friday Jan. 2nd – Open

Closed for Labor Day

In order to give our staff and volunteers a much-needed day off, we will not be open on Monday September 1st.  And, it couldn’t come at a better time since we crushed our single-day record this week with 159 meals on TuesdayMan_Hammock_Colored.  Our previous high was around 130!  What a day but we are always reminded of the story of Jesus feeding the masses with the measly few loaves and fishes.  With God’s help, and the help of his good stewards who help support this ministry with their time, talents and treasures, we have been able to serve all who come.  Thank you all!!
